If you’re a Founder Pup, that means you’ve received free Pupspace Pro access for at least 1 month (and up to 1 year). When your Pupspace Pro expires, you’ll have the choice to purchase a Pro pass for additional time, or to let your membership revert to a regular account.

What is Pupspace Pro?

Pupspace runs on what’s called a “freemium” model, where most members have a free, regular accounts and some choose to purchase premium access, which we call Pupspace Pro. Pupspace Pro members get to explore without limits: unlimited full-sized photo access; unlimited outgoing messages; unlimited photo lists; unlimited private photo album requests; and so much more.

Do I have to pay?

No! We’ve designed regular membership so that you still have access to all the critical features and tools that make Pupspace special. Regular members can post the same amount in the newsfeed, send unlimited replies in conversations, update their profiles, search for other pups and so much more. Heavier users will likely run into some of the daily limits, but if you’re a light Pupspace user, you may not even notice the limitations at all!

What’s the difference between Pupspace Pro and Regular?

For a full review of features and limitations, see the chart at the bottom of this page. But in a nutshell, Pupspace Pro membership allows for unlimited use of certain features, such as sending new messages, seeing who’s viewed your profile or seeing full size photos. Regular membership still allows for use of all the major features on Pupspace, but sometimes comes with a daily limit—for example, regular members can only start 10 new conversations each day (though they can send unlimited replies to existing conversations).

Why isn’t Pupspace totally free?

Because we’re a small, niche community, we don’t have the same advantage of scale that bigger social networks have, which allows them to track and sell your data (and make a small fortune). We also don’t particularly think selling your data is right. So we don’t do it. Instead, we rely on a “freemium” model where our most active and passionate members pay a little bit each month to help us keep Pupspace up and running.

How can I upgrade to Pupspace Pro?

You can easily upgrade through either the Grokio Communities mobile app or the website—regardless of how you upgrade, your Pro membership will be applied across both platforms (web and mobile). Pupspace Pro rates are a little lower on the website, so you can save a little extra cash by upgrading at pupspace.net.
