Pupspace FAQ

Welcome to Pupspace! We figure you might have some questions about us, so we decided to try and answer as many of them as possible.

What is Grokio Communities?

Grokio Communities is a small, independently owned and operated company of dedicated kinksters who built and maintain Pupspace. We’ve been providing safe, inclusive and welcoming virtual spaces for kink communities since 2011. Prior to creating Pupspace, we created four other kink communities with a combined total of over 300,000 users.

Why did you launch Pupspace?

That’s all thanks to our incredible team—we have several pups on staff (and recently added several more) and it became clear to us that a dedicated space for those into pup play was exactly what the community needed. We’ve seen how our networks can transform niche kink communities—to make them more open, more vibrant and more connected—and our team wanted to offer that to the pup play community.

Who are your Admins?

All our Pupspace admins are pups themselves. They also get support from the rest of the Grokio admin team, which includes a mix of pups and other kinksters. We don’t broadcast the usernames of our admins, as we don’t want to bring any unwanted attention on their personal accounts, but you may notice them doing their thing. Our admins are paid professionals who take seriously their responsibility to make Pupspace a safe and inclusive space.

We believe that diversity is a strength. Our team is predominantly queer and proud to be so. Some of us are gay, some bi, some pan. We have trans, non-binary and cis people in our team, as well as members in poly relationships and asexual people. Our team also includes people of color and people from a diverse array of countries, from North America to Europe and Australia.

Where does your funding come from?

Grokio Communities is a completely independent company. All our revenues come from our members in the form of premium subscriptions (plus a very small amount from ads in the app… seriously ad rates for queer-friendly apps have plummeted and only make up a tiny share of our revenue). We aren’t funded or run by anyone in Silicon Valley or Wall Street or China. We’re just a group of kinksters who want to help other kinksters connect.

What do you do with our data?

We don’t sell your data. We’re not Facebook and we think your right to privacy is too important to go telling other companies what you like and who you talked to. What happens on Pupspace stays on Pupspace. We also don’t keep your data after you leave. If you ever decide to go—and we hope you won’t!—you can delete your profile and with it every single photo, message, profile field and post. When we say delete we actually mean delete.

What are the rules of Pupspace?

There’s too many rules to list here, but we’d recommend taking some time to review our Community Conduct Rules. All of our rules are designed to help keep Pupspace safe and welcoming for EVERYONE. That means we have clear policies to combat trolling, spamming, disparagement, harassment and intolerance, among others.

Have a question that we didn’t answer? That’s great. Please open a support ticket here and ask! Our admin team will be happy to answer.
